Welcome to DK9 Photography

"A dog will teach you unconditional love. If you can have that in your life, things won’t be too bad"

- Robert Wagner

Hi, I'm David, the photographer behind the lens of this website's dog photography. With a passion for capturing the unique personalities of each dog, I have been immersed in the world of photography for many years. My love for dogs and photography makes me the perfect choice to capture the character of your dog through my lens(es).  I have an ability  to make your furry friends feel comfortable in front of the camera, creating beautiful, natural images that truly reflect your dog's spirit.

With a friendly approach and a love for all things dogs, I strive to create a fun and relaxed atmosphere on each photo shoot. My talent for capturing the magic of dogs has earned me a loyal following and an impressive portfolio. If you're looking for stunning portraits of your furry friend, you are in the right place!

I'd love to hear from you to find out more about you and your dog, although it is all about the dog!

What to Expect at Your Session

Before the session I'll send a quick email with what to bring for the shoot and a couple of other things you might need to consider. This will also be covered if we have a conversation before the session.

For studio shoots I always allow time for your dog to settle and get used to the surroundings, I never book back to back appointments in the studio, this ensures that there is plenty of time to settle down. I'll make friends with your dog and give them a fuss (if they'll let me) and fire the flashes to ensure they aren't spooked by them. Only when the dog is relaxed will we start taking photos and we'll have regular breaks for treats, fuss and drinks (there's a plentiful supply of tea, coffee and biscuits for the humans too!)

If you have booked an indoor and outdoor session we'll capture the studio photos first, this way it doesn't matter if they get messy whilst we're out and about. Outside we'll work through a variety of posed and action shots. I do have a good supply of balls and launchers if you forget yours.

Humans are always welcome to get in on the photos too, this for both inside and outdoor sessions.

A few days after your session you'll receive your photos in a private online gallery where you are able to choose the photos included in your package. There is also the option to purchase additional prints and wall art from the online store.
